Families and Friends Unite is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization led by Dr. Carolyn M. Ford, Ed.D, M.Ed. Dr. Ford has been a professional educator for over 20 years, as a school psychologist, educational diagnostician, school administrator, and teacher in multiple school districts in the country. Through Families and Friends Unite, she offers evaluations and screenings to help gauge students' progress.

We understand the importance of credentialing and qualifications, but do not underestimate the integral part that diversity of race, thought, identity and background play in creating an intuitive and safe space for students. We help friends and families select an educational facilitator who will provide an individualized, engaging learning environment for students.

Using years of experience and our detailed intake survey, we help families with compatible needs create customized educational pods with prescreened facilitators at the helm. We help you create a schedule that works for your students which might include enrichment activities and special interest programming.

Our team will act as a growth partner with your micro-school by offering support, screening, and assessments to help you gauge your students' educational and psychological wellness. By evaluating your micro-school's individual needs, we can provide customized guidance and close observation.
